““Over 2600 modern and contemporary works of art make up the Modern Art Museum of Forth Worth collection. The building is concrete and glass with a beautiful reflecting pond and sculpture garden. The words of Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and Gerhard Richter are among those famous artworks on display.””

“Amon Carter Museum of American Art - This museum has a truly fascinating collection of 19th and early 20th-century American art and should really not be missed! Some of the works include works of artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, John Singer Sargent, Alexander Calder, and Thomas Cole, as well as a considerable assortment of photographic works. Its ‘piece de resistance’ of course, must be the museum’s 150,000 items which focus on American history, art, and culture. For families interested in American western art, this is a paradise! Besides the museum’s free admission, it also boasts a fabulous restaurant with an interesting menu that includes great desserts! ”

“Right across from the Zoo, this little village is a hidden gem. There are 11 buildings along a cement walking trail. Each building is wheel chair/stroller accessible. Costumed guides (not actors) are available throughout willing to answer any question or assist with demonstrations. One day we attended, country crooner Bob Sawyer was singing cowboy folk songs and entertaining guests with lots of cool information and stories. The bathrooms are centrally located and very clean. The Seela Cabin is very hands-on for kids to play with period-style toys (mostly reproductions) inside and out. Beware of the water pump - younger kids MAY get wet. There is a little photo-op wagon nearby. We were able ”

“Fort Worth Zoo - Home to more than 7,000 native and exotic animals and several indoor and outdoor exhibits. The Fort Worth Zoo provides an entire day of fun for any family. Kids can learn how to round ’em up and move ’em out at Texas Wild!, a hands-on exhibit that showcases the unique wildlife of the Lone Star State and includes a petting zoo. They can visit all four great ape species in the 2.5-acre world of primates or get eye-to-eye with some of the most endangered reptiles and amphibians on the planet at the Museum of Living Art (MOLA).”
