Roberta’s Covered in hip-hop-influenced graffiti is Roberta’s, a popular local Italian-inspired dining establishment in Bushwick. Don’t let the exterior deter you – urban decay becomes haughty elegance as you enter this surprisingly chic restaurant. Business casual attire seems status quo, and patrons are seated by bohemian yet professional hosts. The pizza is served in pies rather than by the slice, with additional meal options like coffee-roasted beets or cabbage and sea lettuce salad. Roberta’s is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, with weekend brunch and takeout available until midnight.

Nicandra’s Our Chef and owner, Taco, began his career at French restaurant Cafe D’Alsace in NYC. He spent his time there learning the ins and outs of the kitchen before taking his talents to Michelin Star-ranked A Voce. After years of working for others and discovering a passion for creating a quality fine dining experience, Taco decided to open a place of his own in Bushwick, Brooklyn and name it after his wonderful mother, Nicandra. The menu is inspired by modern Italian cuisine with an emphasis on fresh pasta that is made in-house daily. This signature staple provides an experience that is unlike any other in the neighborhood. Located in Bushwick, offering Contemporary Mexican Cuisine with all of the great diversity of Mexican produce. In Mexico, from North to South the diversity of food products is completely amazing. Mesoamerica roughly encompassed the southern half of Mexico through to Central America. It was home to one of the world's six great ancient civilizations. The major food that all colonizations had in common was corn. Other pre-Columbian foods of Mexico are chiles, beans, tomatoes, avocados and pumpkin. Amaranto's aspiration is to present to you a fraction of what Mexico has to offer,by utilizing produce from all over Mexico, some of them well known but not commonly used in day to day cooking.

Coffee is everything in Ethiopia. Not only does it drive the economy, but it drives everyday life. Ethiopians drink coffee multiple times a day, be it as an espresso, cortado, or through the traditional coffee ceremony -- the intricate, intimate process of making coffee from raw bean to brew while bringing people together in conversation and celebration as the process develops. We perform the coffee ceremony regularly at our events, and we serve Bunna for free to our guests. We serve vegan Ethiopian food: hearty, wholesome, nutritious, and packed with flavor. "L’imprimerie is a Bushwick bakery off the Myrtle-Wyckoff subway stop. It wasn’t even on my radar, but after I tweeted about Boulud’s Nutella croissant, a fellow French New Yorker recommended I try it. I’m so glad I did. These are straight up some of the best chocolate croissants I’ve ever had in my life. The outer layer is perfectly cooked and crisp, the inside is fluffy and flaky, but also soft and buttery, and the chocolate is just the right amount of bitter. They also sell a pear-chocolate croissant and I am not joking when I say that it is one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever eaten. The pear flavor is subtle but perfectly complements an already delicious pastry."

A hybrid of bar and pizza shop, husband and wife team Dimitri and Gerelyn Blackstone-Karapanos opened Archie’s Bar and Pizza in 2014. Archie’s combines Dimitri’s background working in his familys’ Connecticut pizza shop with Gerelyn’s decade-long experience managing in pubs and bars in England and New York. Greek-New England style pizza is how most people label this unique style pizza, rarely found in New York City. It has a medium thick crust, cooked in a pan, stacked with toppings and sliced into squares. In 2018 Archie’s GM Diego Macias became a co-owner, bringing with him a multitude of skills, experience and a most importantly a passion for the bar and pizza industry.

The Anchored Inn Adrienne Dowd and Carmen Mello, longtime bartenders at the Half King, break out on their own with a nautically themed drinkery. The bar features a golden mermaid bust outside and a hanging Russian metal diving suit indoors, plus 20 black-velvet paintings, including a squid-versus-whale rendering. Tip back one of six draft beers or opt for a sipping liquor. Overboard boozers can counteract the night's tippling with salty bar snacks, including nachos, boiled peanuts and an intriguing combo of pickles with whipped pork fat.

Boobie Trap When you hear boobs and beer, you think Hooters. But even that iconic paean to cleavage and canned suds gets some serious competition from this Bushwick bar and breastaurant from Iggy’s drink slinger Kristen North. Lady lumps abound at the brazen, retro-kitted dive, but hidden beneath the nip-slip kitsch is a surprisingly respectable neighborhood hangout. Tall boys reign at the bar, but two draft lines sprouting from a naked mannequin pour one light (Pacífico) and one dark (Negra Modelo) brew. On the spirits front, jugs of margaritas are heavy-handed on the tequila, so your $25 is well spent.
