If you take the S4 from Adliswil station in the opposite direction, you get to a big and scenic animal park with a big playground, Bistro and very good restaurant. If you travel with kids it is worth a visit, they will love the big brown bear.

Behind the train station there is a cable car running up to the Felsenegg. There is a cosy panorama restaurant up there with traditional Swiss food. www.felsenegg.com.There is also a very scenic walk (1h 30 mins) from their to the Uetliberg. It is the best way to see Zürich from the top. From the Uetliberg there is a train running back to Zurich mainstation.

Although you can go swimming almost everywhere in the lake the "Mythenquai Badi" is worth visiting if you want to spend a relaxing day on the beach. If you want to try Stand UP Paddling there is a rental as well (take your Credit or Maestro Card) to explore the beautiful coastline for lake Zurich.

Türlersee is just beautiful and a bit of the beaten track. You can do a very nice hike from Felsenegg or go there by car or by public transport (S4 to Langnau and then by bus). My recommended day program for a great summer day: Take the cable car to Felsenegg, hike to Türlersee (You can do it with kids as well), have a refreshing swim and BBQ at the lake.

Half way between Adliswil and Zurich there is very big shopping center (Sihl City) with Cinemas, Bars, and Restaurants. You need to get off at station “Saalsporthalle – Sihlcity”. It is not so crowded as in the city and has a very relaxed atmosphere.

Sihlcity station
Half way between Adliswil and Zurich there is very big shopping center (Sihl City) with Cinemas, Bars, and Restaurants. You need to get off at station “Saalsporthalle – Sihlcity”. It is not so crowded as in the city and has a very relaxed atmosphere.
This is a new are in Zurich with lots of new nice and hip shops with.

Essentials
Adliswil offers all the shopping facilities for you needs. There are 2 Supermarkets (Coop, Denner) and the Migros Shopping center in walking distance (5 mins). You will also find other shops, banks, bakeries and Cafes around the Migros Shopping Center. The Migros Shopping Center also has got everyhting you need and there is also a liquor shop, and shops for Shoes, clothing, hairdresser, etc. On the ground floor there is also a bistro area where you get food at good prices.
