Unesco World Heritage: Unique place that was a former island, abandoned just before the whole area was claimed as the new dutch land with dykes, mills, pumps and manpower. It illustrates the battle against the water which is part of the whole dutch history.

Wonderful city with a very old town-center that can compete with Amsterdam, including the canals with lots of pubs and restaurants and shops. And if want you can visit the famous (Unesco World Heritage) Rietveld-Schröder house.

If you like to walk around surrounded by wonderful nature then the Veluwe is where you want to go. There are lots of lovely small town in and around the national park where you can park and find some food or refreshments.
