This is a very nice caffe with good coffe and great, freshly made cakes. It is 5 min walk from Marjan Retreat, overlooking Marina and Kaštela bay. You can take your swimsuit and a towel and rest/swimm on the nearby beach.

If you would like to try "ćevapi". (a grilled dish of minced meat, a type of skinless sausage, found traditionally in the countries of southeastern Europe (the Balkans)) go to this place. It has long tradition (since 1969) and the same recipes for years. I myself am not a meet lover/eater, and this is the only place I go to when I wish to eat ćevapi. Ćevapi are served with onion and/or ajvar (Ajvar is a dish made with peppers, eggplant, garlic and other mostly vegetable ingredients.), hope you'll like it. You can have there hamburgers or grilled chicken as well, so give it a try. Prices are from 20 HRK and more (depending on the dish).

It is situated right behind the city walls that protected the city during the Turkish invasion (at the back of Zara store in Marmontova street). They serve not only pizzas but salads, pasta, meat, Dalmatian cousine etc. and serve their home-made warm buns with dishes other than pizza.

This is a nice reastaurant, but also a very nice caffeehouse situated on the beautiful square. You can always find a place there, it is peaceful, sometimes have a piano player or other musicians entertaining guests in the evening. Very romantic. As far as the cakes are concerned, I would recommend KREMPITE (puff pastry base and a custard cream)

As everywhere in the world, it is always more expensive on top locations such as this one is. You can use their toilet only if you are their guest. Go inside to check how beautiful it is (pay attention to the floor where the bar is - there is a marble circle on the floor - which shows where once the Diocletian's Temple of Venus was)

Šug has great food. Try TECADA, brodetto with home made PLJUKANCI (pasta). Besides that, anything you order will meet ypur expectations and more!
