Here, costumed acrobats and break-dancers amuse punters at the square’s many cafés, shops and restaurants. As the sun sets, the city’s notorious brown cafés, Irish pubs and music venues fill up, and the square is at its liveliest, flickering with neon and echoing with music spilling from the clubs. I LOVE Pllek Amsterdam on the banks of the IJ in North. It’s such a creative hotspot! Pllek Amsterdam is perfect to meet up with friends for drinks or a easy meal. It’s easy to get to Pllek Amsterdam North, just take the ferry from Amsterdam Central Station to the NDSM wharf and you’re there in 15 minutes. Pllek Amsterdam is made of an old warehouse and shipping containers. Completed with tons of sand, beach chairs and picnic tables it is nice to have a beer in the sun or catch up over coffee. Every Sunday afternoon there’s live music! Also other cool activities like yoga and massages on the beach.

One of the best coffee places in the city and very close to the lovely Sarphatipark, Scandinavian Embassy offers very good coffee and if you always wanted to become a barista: they have great workshops here!

Best place for the best brunch! Little Collins is a new Amsterdam bar and restaurant and is a tribute to a fabulous city: Melbourne. Also a great spot for dinner!
