Excellent breakfasts, best in town. Great cakes and coffee for both eating in and taking away. Friendly helpful staff. During busy times you will get a remote "buzzer" that you can take away, walk down to the village centre with, it will buxx when your table is ready.

Excellent old establishment, popular with locals and tourists alike due to its all round food, drink and entertainment scene. Good basic food, local beers and soft drinks. Friendly, local staff with good local knowledge. The bar area is great in the evenings, sometimes live music and good old, yup, i have to say it, craic.

OK its not in Aviemore, but it worth the little trek out on the way to the RSPB Osprey centre at Loch Garten. Amazing coffee served by wonderful staff. Whilst your coffee and cake is being served, go take a look at the wonderful works of James Gordon, renowned landscape photographer. Used to be the village hall which was replaced in another location with a new one, flogged off and turned into this gem of a business.

Deshar RoadOK its not in Aviemore, but it worth the little trek out on the way to the RSPB Osprey centre at Loch Garten. Amazing coffee served by wonderful staff. Used to be the village hall which was replaced in another location with a new one, flogged off and turned into this gem of a business.
A true gem. Run by the Anderson family of Boat of Garten, the food in this place is unique. Lovingly prepared and served perfectly presented, you really would think you were sitting in a top London restaurant in here, until you look out the window and see one car passing every few minutes or so as opposed to streaming mayhem you get in London, yes life runs at a different pace in that small village. After the food (And a sneaky Espresso) follow the path round the back into the woods, a 20 Min walk in this ancient forest will take you a million miles away, then go back to your car and join modern life once again.

Many visitors that go year on year on their annual pilgrimage to Aviemore for one of the many events and festivals that we have, go to Taverna each year!
The place never changes, there is little if no regular staff turnaround, you'll get the same tasty pizzas and salad, the same puddings, the same everything, that you've had the year before, the decade before that, and thats why people love it.
Friendly, helpful staff, family run, we definitely recommend a visit to La Taverna Pizzaria Aviemore, every time you visit!

The place never changes, there is little if no regular staff turnaround, you'll get the same tasty pizzas and salad, the same puddings, the same everything, that you've had the year before, the decade before that, and thats why people love it.
Friendly, helpful staff, family run, we definitely recommend a visit to La Taverna Pizzaria Aviemore, every time you visit!
Actually a takeaway mainly nowadays, but there are still seats to sit annd eat your food at. Nicely decorated place with the same great food time and time again. Easy parking.

Great food served by those in the know, local beers and drinks such as Inshriach Gin, made in a shed with a pseudo cowboy bar in between Aviemore and Kingussie on the very back road (There's the A9, the Old A9 and the older road from before that! Each runs parallel to each other).
