It's my favorite Viennese Restaurant. You get typical Viennese food and real Viennese people there (no need to go to Figlmüller for a Schnitzel). During the day, you can sit outside with a view of the University of Vienna. Often you'll meet Austrian politicians there having a beer or two.

Good place for breakfast. Lovely athmosphere and real (and organic!) food. Quite hipster.

Drinks & Nightlife
Well, that's a typical and old Viennese Kaffeehaus. You can spend your whole night there, drink red wine, use the juke box and thrown beer mats at each other (it's a tradition!). You can walk there in around 20min.

Go there at night to see where actual Viennese people go to. You can drink wine (in Vienna you order either an eighth or a quarter of red or white wine, which means you get 125ml or 250ml. House wine is the cheapest and perfectly fine.), beer and other stuff, but also try a "Flade" which is a kind of baked and folded piece of bread with cheesy (or other) ingredients and it's not expensive! During the day you can also sit outside, but the view at this narrow alley is not very stunning.

Also a very good place at night - you can drink in several bars (even beach bars with sand) or go clubbing at the Flex. (Even though the sign in this map shows very eastern, start your walking tour at Salztorbrücke and go west to the Flex Club or Grelle Forelle Club (wich is further away!) or east to go to beach bars. There are also cool bars at the northern side spread in both directions.

I've been here a thousand times as a child. It has huge collections of everything. Comparable to the Natural history museum in NY, I'd say. And the building is stunning, from the inside and the outside.
