Sightseeing

Some hot tourists spots for those perfect pictures and romantic moments.
Old port has some of the oldest structures in Montreal. Some streets are still paved with cobblestone so be sure to bring some comfortable shoes. From hundred year old buildings, the science center, food trucks, high class dining and activities such as ice skating in the winter and zip-lining in the summer, it's almost impossible to get bored down here. Canada day and other festivals such as rib fest, poutine fest, Saint Jean de Baptiste etc. are all celebrated here! TAKE METRO TO PLACE D'ARMES STOP TO AVOID HIGH PARKING COSTS.

Mount Royal is absolutely amazing. There's atleast 3 amazing lookouts giving you entire unhindered views of the cityscape. Big forests and lots of trails to hike! We've also got a massive beautifully kept graveyard open to the public, it's a huge attraction. Lots of people jog these paths in the morning for the serenity and calmness. This is the number one place to be for the best pictures, hands down.

This place is ridiculously huge. Honouring brother Andre who first started the chapel, it has sermons going on in the day time and a ton of pictures and artifacts of people important to the creation and upkeep of this wonderful piece of history. Take the time to explore all the areas, some are less known than others and offer new perspectives. There's a very nice winding garden with statues on one side of the building. There's also an amazing lookout by the front entrance, great for pictures. Don't forget to visit the basement/crypts. There are candles you can light up in honour of a loved one and a place to throw coins for good luck.

I'm not sure where this place originated but they have a cult like following. Fresh baked cheesecakes, but light and fluffy instead of the usual dense heavy ones you find everywhere. I recommend getting the original cheesecake. These cakes are incredibly good and we've had many guests tell us they bought a 2nd one to bring home.
