They have the best guacamole in town. I also really like their fish tacos and veggie tacos. They are very knowledgeable about tequila....and it's within walking distance!

Some of the best New Mexican food you can eat! I highly recommend the green chile chicken enchiladas and the veggie burrito with either red or green-it's all about the avacados y'all! When the weather is good you can sit outside.

If you are wanting a very special meal this is the place to go! The views of the Sandia Mountains are spectacular seen over the fields of lavendar. The food is wonderful. There is a bar and outdoor seating. Leave enough time to visit their gift shop where they sell local ware and their very own lavendar products.

Really good Thai food at an exceptional price. This is one of our go to places! Take out or eat in-the place is small, usually efficient, and delicious! I recommend the thai basil fried rice, the papaya salad, and any of their curries, just to start.

These folks serve stellar pizza, but I go there for the huge chopped salad (I add grilled chicken). It is usually packed,so especially on the weekend, you may need to wait a few minutes. There is outdoor seating and they have a full bar, which includes some very nice Italian wines. I must warn you that it can be loud.....

In my way of thinking, this is the best growers market and local craft scene in town! From early spring to late fall, on Saturday mornings from 7am until noon, people show up very early to set up their tents and bring out their beautiful just picked fruits/veggies and their hand made wares. There is always music as well as children and dogs! Oh and don't miss a breakfast burrito from Java Joe's!

If you are looking for a remarkable day trip and you like birds (and other critters), this just might do it for you. Bosque Del Apache is just south of Soccoro about 75 miles away. Dawn or dusk viewing of the migrating cranes and geese is suggested.

Located on the west side of the Sandia Mountains in the foot hills and about 30 minutes from my house, you can walk until your heart's content. See views of Albuquerque, the valcanos, and Mount Taylor to the west laid out before you. If you have hours you can make it to a trail that runs all along the Sandias.

Combine learning with curiosity and then add fun and that is what you'll find at Explora. All the exhibits are hands-on and created here in Albuquerque, for young people of all ages. This is not a place to rush through-plan to stay all day if your schedule will let you.
