Hahndorf village is a cultural German town with plenty of German food & beer, cute markets & antique stores, and a nice weekend vibe. Located in the Adelaide hills so again plenty of opportunity for winetasting, bushwalking, discovering, eating nearby. It's 30 mins drive east from the house up the freeway.
Bridgewater Mill Restaurant is a nice option along the way in the Adelaide hills. Typical fancy winery/restaurant with a nice setting.

Port Willunga is a beautiful beach with bright blue water located south out of Adelaide. "The Star of Greece" modern Greek restaurant is set on a cliff top overlooking the beach. Sitting outside on the balcony, sipping Rockford Alicante Rose as the sun sets over the water is just magical. Beautiful date day out! I always bring overseas visitors here. It is essentially in Mclaren Vale so you can spend the day winetasting & finish up here for dinner/drinks/sunset/swim depending on the weather. Bookings recommended 08 8557 7420. Roughly 1 hour drive south, a good part on the freeway once you exit the city (all motorways in Adelaide are free).
