This spacious park less than a mile away from our front door is a great place to take a walk around the neighborhood. You'll walk on the High Line Canal Trail to get there, which spans 71-miles as it starts southwest of Denver and meanders northeasterly through Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Denver and Aurora. Our favorite urban running trail.

Cherry Creek State Park provides one of the few beaches available to Denverites. Because it is a State Park, there is an entrance fee for guests.

Walk the 0.9 miles from our house to the Yale light rail station to access Denver without dealing with our terrible traffic. The light rail can take you downtown to Union Station, out west to Golden, or out east to the Denver International Airport. If we're not riding our bikes around Denver, we're using public transportation.
