Food Scene

Cornish folk will spend many an hour arguing over who makes the best pasties, but for me you can't beat the flaky pastry and traditional or veggie options of a Philps pasty. Get there early to beat the queues which are usually out the door and round the building- they're that good!

If you've ever seen the famous image of a wave sweeping across the roof of a church on the sea front, that's Porthleven. Subject to some of the most dramatic storms Cornwall sees, but a quiet and peaceful place to have a wander around in the sun, grabbing a beer or sampling some food from the home of the Cornish Food Festival.
