The Balgove Larder offers a large selection of fine foods in the outskirts of St Andrews. It has a restaurant for just a quick coffee and home-made cake/delicious lunch and in the evening the Steak Barn opens where you can watch the chef cooking your steaks. In the summer months you can also enjoy an evening market most weeks with a selection of local produce and stalls.

The Balgove Larder offers a large selection of fine foods in the outskirts of St Andrews. It has a restaurant for just a quick coffee and home-made cake/delicious lunch and in the evening the Steak Barn opens where you can watch the chef cooking your steaks. In the summer months you can also enjoy an evening market most weeks with a selection of local produce and stalls.
This restaurant is for a special occasion but well worth the extra cost as the food is most delicious using local produce and good wines it has been my favourite haunt for years!

If you are looking for a quick pub tea this is the place, fabulous homemade steak pie and delicious fish and chips for under £10.00

Superb for a therapeutic relaxing walk in the woods, various meandering paths to enjoy. If you are lucky you will see a few red squirrels and hear the woodpeckers tapping away. Followed by Pillers Organic Produce to choose from either to purchase or enjoy over lunch in the cafe or in the garden or should I say field with vegetable patches, fruit trees and wooden seating.
If you fancy a more energetic walk there is the Lomond Hills just 3.8 miles away
