Hidden down the Tivoli arcade, off Bourke street, VB rolls is a haven for those seeking a quick cheap takeaway lunch. The main offering here is Bahn Mi, but you can also convert this into a salad, or try some noodles and rice paper rolls. A variety of meats and some vegetarian options are available - I especially like their roast duck. Keep an eye out for their combo deals which are also good value.

There are many such breakfast spots on Carlisle Street strip outside Balaclava station. In my opinion, Batch Espresso is best. Batch is a great place to go if you like a menu where the most interesting thing on the menu isn't just a breakfast burrito. That being said the food remains honest; dining there simply is more exciting because the menu is fun to explore. Popular favourites include the generous avocado and feta mash on toast or the baked eggs with chorizo.

It’s tasty stuff, but fresh fish is what Sake does best. Bright hand rolls filled with sweet scallops, or crisp-fried soft-shell crab; perfect nigiri topped with fatty salmon belly, or a stunning sashimi set of snapper, tuna and scampi cut with razor-sharp precision and laid out across rough-hewn boulders of ice. Cook's Cottage (also known as Captain Cook's Cottage) is located in the Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne, Australia. The cottage was constructed in 1755 in the English village of Great Ayton, North Yorkshire, by the parents of Captain James Cook, James and Grace Cook. It is a point of conjecture among historians whether James Cook, the famous navigator, ever lived in the house, but almost certainly he visited his parents at the house.
