This delightful, linear walk between Esporles and Banyalbufar, can either be done on its own, or it can be combined with another fabulous walk Ref. W-NW01 to create a more ambitious full day's hike. Done on its own, it is a fairly easy walk with a few climbs and some tricky cobbled surfaces (which are fine with the right footwear!). It is a particularly good walk to do when the temperatures have started to rise, as it is mostly in beautiful holm oak woods, where we can enjoy the dappled shade!

Close to the church, the restaurant is situated in a sympathetically restored Mallorcan terraced house, and has a traditional décor. A striking feature of the place is the wood-burning oven, built using artisan methods and standards in line with the tradition of typical Castile and Leon asadores. The slow-roasted meats – a starring feature of Castile and Leon’s gastronomy – call for careful cooking, and Felipe, an expert, burns oak and Holm oak in his oven.
This is definitely a place for carnivores. The menu is limited, offering simple but quality dishes – the stars being the slow-roasted suckling pig, and milk-fed lamb (both from animals less than a month old). The meat here is carefully so

Adding to the attractiveness of the area, the recent pedestrianizing of some of the streets makes Santa Catalina even more worthy of a visit.
Shopping
Fashion, fashion, fashion!! If you are on Jaime III it can mean only one thing – shopping. It was Palma’s most important high street until Borne become the new designer street for the big brands. You will still find Cartier, Loewe and Custo Barcelona with shops here. El Corte Ingles also have a store here albeit smaller than the one of Avinedas it has a good selection of products. Also look out for Petit Bateau: the French label with the softest of cotton and chic Gallic designs.
