The Cott Inn has probably the best gourmet pub food in the region and was voted in the top 30 pubs in the UK by the Daily Telegraph! 13th century fully thatched, it is the longest continual thatched long house in the country. Two log fires and a beautiful beer garden. Live music on Sunday and Wednesday nights. Booking advised!

Also the best bakery in town! Ten mins walk from Hunters Moon. Set in Dartington's local light industry and craft estate, has an industrial vibe and rather hip! A local secret which is becoming more and more popular.

Also excellent authentic Italian restaurant, very popular place to hang out at the bottom of town. Upstairs is peaceful and quieter.

Open-top bus/steam train/ferry that takes you from Totnes to Paignton to Dartmouth then back to Totnes. Journey over the beautiful hills of Devon, ferry down the Dart, spend time in the picturesque town of Dartmouth. Bit of crabbing on Dartmouth's harbour for the kids, fish and chips and home!
