They have darn good fried chicken. Warning: it can be quite spicy. I pull the skin off before my kids can eat it.

Don't let the corny name fool you , this is my Japanese in-laws favorite sushi place in Kansas City. Sit at the bar for an authentic experience. It can be a little pricey, but it's the real deal.

If the Walmart grocery is not your cup of tea then this should fit the bill. I shop here almost daily. This is a much better source for fresh local fruit, meats and veggies. The deli here is also very nice.

Our family visits here few times a year. Basically a bunch of pretty fountains and interesting seasonal plants. There is always something new to see during the year. My kids always head to the greenhouse and look for the cranky fat cat. Free

Great Coffee Destination especially when motorcyclists from the area ride down for the Blip Sunday Meet-Up. Tall coffee and taller stories with fellow riders. This is located in the historic West bottoms. Even if you can't do the coffee thing, drive around down here and check out the cool old warehouses and buildings.
