Gore Mountain ski area has something for everyone - the bunny hill for those just learning and challenging experts in the clouds. Laid back resort vibe that allows picnic coolers yet has a good pub food restaurant. Summer and fall also is busy at Gore with the Gondola rides to the top for some sightseeing, mountain bike trails, trampolines and other sports available at different times. Fun for all.

So many hiking trails from easy to almost impossible (at least for me!). Beautiful views, Take a drive up Prospect mountain if you don’t want to hike.

Secret swimming hole close by. Right on Rt 8 to the first left turn onto Harrington rd. Keep going until you see no parking signs and a bunch of cars parked. I think you found it.

Always fresh, usually busy. Great place to stop to pick up something to take back (pie, cake, cookies?) or stay there and relax with an espresso and a baked good. Either way - it is delicious.
