This is our go-to when we also want to spend some time window-shopping on 19th street. There are some interesting shops on this block that are worth checking out while you sip your coffee!

You can’t go wrong here, but one of our favorites is the Verde taco. The migas are also delicious, and the pastor taco and the barbacoa and the carne guisada… I think you get the picture.

Efficiency is not Chiloso’s strong suit… but the tacos are worth the wait! Don’t skimp on the green sauce either.

There are several Goode Co. restaurants in Houston, but this is our favorite for breakfast. Get there really early to beat the crowds and have fun making friends with the wait staff. They are the best

If you want authentic Tex-Mex, this is the place to go. Try the fajitas, but don’t get tricked into ordering “Fajitas for 2” unless you’re really hungry.

Only open for lunch on week days, you’d be hard-pressed to find better or more authentic Cajun food. You can’t go wrong with the gumbo or the red beans and rice, extra green onions!

This is another place that always has a queue, but for good reason. The BBQ is some of Texas’ finest, and it would be a shame to visit Texas without experiencing it’s best BBQ!

Indika is an indian-fusion restaurant that is delicious, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you know your Indian food and/or are an adventurous eater. Just ask for their recommendation and enjoy!
