Znjan beach- 2300 m from the Apartment 28 - (gravel beach approximately 5 km from the center of Split) - Along with Bacvice beach, Znjan is perhaps the most famous beach in Split. The Znjan beach is situated between the beaches Trstenik on the west and Duilovo on the east. The beach is partly made of concrete, but mostly it's gravel. The biggest problem related to this beach is the lack of shade and there are no parasols to rent. Next to it there are several catering objects, so bathers can freshen up with a cold drink or cool under a parasol. It is also very interesting to mention that on this particular beach celebration of the Mass by Pope John Paul II took place on October 4, 1998, when pilgrims from all over Croatia came to Split to meet the Holy Father.

DIOCLETIAN'S PALACE – 650 m from the Apartment 28 Palace of Diocletian, ancient Roman palace built between 295 and 305 ce at Split (Spalato), Croatia, by the emperor Diocletian as his place of retirement (he renounced the imperial crown in 305 and then lived at Split until his death in 316). The palace constitutes the main part of a UNESCO World Heritage site that was designated in 1979. It is the largest and best-preserved example of Roman palatial architecture, representing a transitional style half Greek and half Byzantine. The palace had four gates. From the Golden gate on the northern side of the fortress the road to the town of Solin was starting. The Silver gate was located on the eastern part, the Iron one - on the west, and the Bronze gate was on the south - the sea shore. Today Diocletian’s Palace is considered one of the only cultural monuments in the world in which people still live.

RIVA – 710 m from the Apartment 28 Riva today is a pedestrian heaven, thrusting with Cafés and restaurants, an ideal place for having your morning or afternoon coffee, or for an evening out with friends over drinks. Riva is also a political forum, with decades of political opportunities being depicted through mass rallies. Naturally, Riva is always at its best in time of Sudamja, a celebration dedicated to St. Domnius, the patron saint of Split. The essential part of Riva are the people. People make Riva what it is today. It is a central place of social and urban life. It is a monument. It is a stage. It is a promenade. It is a harbor. It is a sea view. It is heritage. It is so many things. It is a cradle of events. Aside from numerous cafés arranged side by side that emit irresistible coffee aromas and often serve delicious cakes, there are countless benches where residents enjoy sitting for hours observing life in the moment.

PERISTIL – 700 m from the Apartment 28 Peristyle, as the central square of the Palace, intended for the Emperor Diocletian celebrated as the living son of Jupiter, finds its place among many temples. The Emperor would appear under the architrave of the central part of Protyron, and his subjects would approach him, kneeling down, kissing the hem of his scarlet cloak, or they would fall in front of him, their entire body to the ground. Owing to its unique beauty and unusual acoustics, Peristyle became the ideal theatre scenery, perfect for opera classics and works of ancient literature, but also the stage where abundant urban life continues. Having your coffee on the steps circling Peristyle is a unique experience, one of the closest touches of a modern man with the ancient heritage, not only Roman, but also Egyptian, as the Peristyle is closely watched over by a 3500 old and perfectly preserved sphinx, the witness of Split's history in making.
