The City's amazing garden, which was World Garden of the Year 2014. Has numerous themed gardens (based on countries of the world) to visit, including a Maori Garden. Very Spectacular. Adjoins the Rose and botanical gardens. Nice cafe there too, free parking. Can be accessed from the riverbank walkway if desired.

A nice oasis in the middle of the city. Great to walk around, takes about 40 minutes. See the lake, views across it, nice houses, trees, lake birds, nice cafe, great childrens play areas. Easy parking in numerous places. Start your stroll anywhere. Gates are closed at dusk, so need to park on the surrounding road if wandering around the lake then.
