Food Scene

Right around the corner from the apartment. They have a cute garden but I'd call to make reservations if you want to sit there. Great pasta!

There is a huge food hall at City Point. There is an arepas stand, pizza stand, pakistani stand, doughnut stand ... SO many places to choose from. There's also a movie theater in City Point, Century 21 for shopping, and a Target.

Another great food hall. But this is outdoors. It can get pretty crowded because it's so popular. But it's a fun bike ride from our apartment through Flushing Ave and then Kent Ave. Easy to get to via Citi Bike.

Drinks & Nightlife

A cool spot that is also open during the day for drinks. Highly recommend if this spot isn't already on one of your lists or in one of your guides for 'see and be seen' spots in Williamsburg.

Parks & Nature

Really cool park that is easy to get to from our apartment via Citi Bike. The same architects that built the High Line built this spot! It just opened up too!

I LOVE this park. Plus it's so close to the apartment. I would walk around at night or on the weekend. There are people having picnics, playing tennis, basketball, etc. There is a famer's market on Washington Park Ave side of the park on Saturdar mornings.

THE park in Brooklyn. It's gorgeous and big. Definitely visit and compare it to Central Park and see which one you like better :)

This is where we shop for our food. We LOVE trader joe's. Well priced and many organic options. We ride Citi Bike back with one bag of trader joes on the top of the bike.

Getting Around

You can download the Citi Bike app. That will be helpful to see where the stations are. You can purchase a day rental at the kiosk. The closest station is right around the corner on Clermont and Park Avenue. I HIGHLY recommend Citi Bike for getting around within Brooklyn. If you are like biking enough, you can even ride the bike over the Manhattan Bridge into Manhattan. Let me know if you'd like to borrow our helmets. They are located on top of the bikes in the hallway on the second floor.

If you want to get picked up and brought places via car service, download the Uber app. If you are not in a rush to get somewhere, I recommend you do the shared ride with other passengers. It will save you money.

I like Lyft better than Uber. Same thing as Uber but often a little cheaper. Download the app. And use the shared rides if you have time as it's cheaper than getting a car to yourself.

All the subway stations are about 20 minutes of a walk. There is the Q, R, and B at Dekalb. There is the A,C,E, F at Jay Street Metro Tech. There is the 2,3,4 and 5 at Nevins Street. Sometimes there are subway delays on the weekends so I would google what the status of the subway is before you go and use it.
