The plaza next to the Church in the Old Town of Altea is ideal for sitting out during the day or on an evening with a drink and tapas, it has a market in the summer months and plenty of street entertainment. There are many lovely shops open late on an evening and also ice-cream parlours. The bars do stay open late during the summer months.
