Try the volcano soup or the Kool special. Tiny place, but worth the wait. Only open weekdays and there is a break in service between lunch and dinner (all Thai restaurants in town have this custom)

Doesn't look like much, but they're really great and friendly. Skip the fried rice, but order anything else on the menu. Shrimp egg rolls and volcano soup are my favorite. Open on the weekends.

This is a slightly cheaper alternative to Hayashi that is always great quality Japanese food. Sushi and hibachi-style dining.

Second largest University in the U.S. based on size. Really neat place to be, and there is always something going on here. (Art shows, comedians, concerts, etc.)

Bring some carrots and a camera with you to feed the wild prairie dogs. They're adorable. I would say "don't feed the wildlife," but if you do, try not to give them junk food.

This is where I go to see movies any time I can. It is $6 for 2 new release films, and the 50's style cafe is pretty nice (with prices that don't destroy your wallet).

This is one of my favorite parks besides Mackenzie park. Just a nice calm place to look at and feed the geese or ducks when they are going south.

Nice park that has a lot of dog owners. Do not let your dog off its leash here or you may get a fine. Unfortunately, Lubbock has no dog parks.
