The start of the Caledonian Canal is just a 10 minute walk away. this canal goes all the way from the East coast to the West and was to move produce before there were decent roads. A lovely walk!

A day out to Dornoch and the surrounding area is great. Lovely beaches, fairly-tale castle, star spotting by the famous Skibo Caslte and a beautiful cathedral.

Although there has been a castle in Inverness since the 11th century, the present day castle is much more recent (circa 1848) after is was destroyed by the Jacobite army. Nice views but no entry.

A great place to view our local bottlenose dolphins, the most northerly pod! These guys are the biggest of their species and worth a look, (if you're lucky!)

Neolithic burial site which inspired Outlander. The winter solstice sees the sunset shine into one of the cairns. very peaceful place to visit and close to Culloden Battlefield.

Some call it a health&safety risk and others love it...You decide as it's only a 10 minute walk away with a scaled model of the titanic. It's someone's passion, not a museum so don't expect too much!

A unique looking castle in Scotland! Well worth a visit even just to see it. There is a fee to enter it but I thought it was worth the money.

Nice walk behind our house, takes you to an old Iron Age fort circa 300bc and offers some nice views over the Beauly Firth. Google map is showing it in the wrong place though! Ask us for directions!
