"Die Insel" (the island) is the heart and soul of "real" Vienna: go for a walk, grab a bicycle, float in the river, visit the city's working sheep, enjoy a BBQ, spot a stork or a beaver, watch the sunset, go iceskating, have a beer... There's nothing you can't do on the Danube island, and -if you're into it- you can do it all naked (at least while staying within the perimeters of the nude zones, but the lines are fuzzy here...). If you like music, visit Donauinselfest, the world's largest free open-air festival.

Awesome club (hard to find). Plus the world's one and only indoor Würstl-Stand (sausage stall) with super delicious organic and even vegan sausages - all night long ;)

Most amazing outdoor seating in their indoor yard - just see for yourself ;)
Very good all you can eat BRUNCH on Sundays - highly recommended!

BEST ice cream in the UNIVERSE! I swear! All made from local ingredients, also vegan ice cream without milk and eggs but the hugest amount of fresh fruits you can possibly put into ice cream

If you like great coffee - and I'm putting much emphasis on GREAT here - this is the place to go! Have some ridiculously cheap Cappuchino and/or buy a bag of their heart-melting coffee blends to take back home (yes, Vienna is worl famous for coffee roasting!)

They serve the best original Wiener Schnitzel (made from veal, served with potato salad) I know, accompanied by amazing Viennese wine. The location was recently renovated, but still is a traditional Viennese restaurant, with staff just like the locals love them: a bit slow, but with a good sense of humor.
