Easy access and walk from ferry (about 8 km roundtrip from our house). Beautiful, calm beach. Check out Purangi Estuary at the far end.

40 min drive from our house for some of the more special coastline. A 30 minute walk each way with some steps and small hills. Go early or late to avoid the crowds.

I love the short walk to the tapu island and double sided beach. A great place for free diving/snorkeling and gathering kai moana. A lazy picnic spot out of the way.

A huge beach that is great for walking and scalloping in the right season. Make sure you check the local regulations for collection if you plan to go!
