A natural curiosity are the rocks that at low tide emerge into the sea and due to their shape are popularly called "horses of Fão".
In the summer months the fun never stops. During the day, bathers prefer the central area of the beach, while surfers choose the south area, with the best swell. At night, the excitement continues in the many restaurants, bars and discos that surround the beach.

Sensibly halfway along the walkway, there is a birdwatching station, where the main species we can observe throughout the year are identified. In this short walk we can see the Black Ibis, White Herons, Common Ducks, Teals and Gulls.
