It is walking distance to my place and there are 5 dollar martinis and half price appetizers for happy hour between 4 pm-7pm and after 10 pm. I also like the people working there, they are friendly.

It is right below my house, so it is very convenient if you just want a drink in a local bar. It is usually crowded, but not touristy. I don't recommend food there, but chocolate truffles are good.

Live music, free of charge mostly. I have been there couple of times and the band never disappointed me. If you don't like downtown club scene, this place is more laid back.

It is not fancy like restaurants in downtown, but I like its authenticity. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you are in India. Its food is a little pricey, but if you like Indian food, you should try it out.

It has variety of Turkish food. I usually get Lahmacun, but their kebab is also good. However, the service is slow. If you like Mediterranean food it is a good spot.

It is like 5 dollar Uber drive from my place. On the weekends there is always line for breakfast, but their omelettes are really good.So if you have time on weekdays, I recommend you check it out probably you will not wait that long.

Watching sunset there is amazing. It is a romantic place for couples. After sunset, you can hang around Ocean Beach, it is a hippy neighborhood.

Sometimes there are festivals and most of the time they bring food trucks, which is more affordable compared to the restaurants. Japanese Garden is a point of interest, there is an entrance fee for that like 6-8 dollars.

Old town is a state park, free of charge. If you are into arts and history, it is a good place for you. There are tons of Mexican Restaurants there. a little bit pricey. I like to got to the tea-shop there, they have a variety of tea fro different countries.
