Great hang-out spot located behind the Vortex Theater with large yard, great bar & a really awesome Italian food truck (Patritzi's). The sno-cone stand out front in the parking lot is also really great.

Justine's is more a restaurant than a bar, but the best time to go is late night....kitchen stays open late. It's great for a late night nibble & cocktail. Also, there is often a tintype photographer set up in his trailer out back.

Called the Soul of Austin, Barton Springs is a natural, spring-fed swimming hole in the heart of the city. The water is cold! (a steady 68-70 degrees year round). expansive lawns and huge pecan & oak trees make for a relaxing day lounging, swimming & people-watching. One of my absolute favorite places.
