Wild Elder has really nice sandwiches and charcuterie plates for a quick bite. The have a lovely courtyard for eat in, or you can take it to go for a picnic by the river.

Surprisingly good sushi for a small town in the Poconos! They offer a variety of noodle dishes as well in a fun atmosphere. Only down side is lack of a good beer menu.

The Gorge (down the road in the little town of Weissport) is your best option for a tasty brunch. It is on the pricier side, but the setting in an old silk mill is quite nice. Their sister coffee shop next door is super solid.

It continuously blows my mind that more people don’t visit this living museum. Take a 30=40 minute ride through the cute village of Weatherly up to the anthracite region near Hazletown. Eckley’s is a totally preserved village of miner’s housing from the 19th Century. They filmed much of the movie Molly Maguire’s here.
