This is a large Glacier fed lake that is very comfortable in the summer season and enjoyed year-round by the brave. There is boating, paddle sports, rock climbing, and more.
The sandy beach allows families to enjoy the day and the concession has tasty comfort food (check hours).

On Dunsmuir there is a unique collection of locally owned businesses in well-preserved heritage buildings. You can find one-of-a-kind fashion, local art, handmade jewelry, antiques, books, gifts, records, and more. Cumberland has character and encourages an active lifestyle. You can pick up a trail map or fix your flat at Vancouver Island’s highest bike store.
Darkside Chocolates will satisfy your sweet tooth and maybe provide a great gift to take home (if it can make it that far). :)

Voted one of the best live music venues in BC, ‘the Wave’ has an excellent music scene. They feature touring musicians that headline venues in larger urban centres. It has charisma and the Waverley kitchen has good pub fare.
