This buzzing, authentic Italian restaurant is a stone's throw from my flat and a real gem. Wapping is a quiet area but this place is consistently busy and reservations are recommended especially on weekend evenings. Definitely worth a visit for Italian food lovers!

This rustic local bakery is open from the very early morning, rustling up sandwiches, rolls and cakes for the lunches of cab drivers from all over east London. You can smell the freshly baking bread as you walk past late in the evening; an appetising taste of treats to come!

This is a cute, modern coffee shop a short walk between my flat and the Tower of London. It serves top quality coffee to have in or take away, though I personally prefer to stop and have a seat opposite the stunning St Katharine Docks. Also serves sandwiches, cookies and cakes including gluten free options.

This is a cute, modern coffee shop a short walk between my flat and the Tower of London. It serves top quality coffee to have in or take away, though I personally prefer to stop and have a seat opposite the stunning St Katharine Docks. A must-visit with thames views, a relaxed atmosphere and a spacious outdoor seating area.

Victualler boasts staff with genuine wine expertise, and serves organic wines from across Europe and beyond. A perfect place to get comfortable on the sofa and let the victualler educate you on fine wines - or just drop in for a quick glass - this is a lovely spot not to miss!
