This place is a local gem - great coffee, pastry, and sandwiches. It can get very busy in the summertime, especially right before/after a ferry arrives/departs for Martha's Vineyard (a 2 minute walk). Iced coffee is a must!

Some of the best "quick" food in the area. Also some of the least expensive around. They do everything from burgers to fish tacos to lobster rolls, and they have delicious ice cream.

The Landfall is a local legend. It's a busy and popular restaurant for lunch and dinner, but my favorite time to go is on weeknights for a drink on the dock out back. They have live music several times a week - the most popular is Friday night where it can sometimes get a bit overcrowded. Definitely a summer favorite for locals and visitors alike.

Parks & Nature
Most of Woods Hole provides you with interesting things to look at, but a trip to The Knob is the way to get sweeping views of Buzzards Bay. It's a short hike and well worth it.

The Shining Sea Bikeway from Woods Hole to Falmouth is about 4 miles. There are several beach stops along the way and gorgeous views throughout. A local tip is to exit the bike path on Surf Drive and ride along the waterfront for a mile or so. Sweeping view of the Vineyard Sound, Martha's Vineyard, and even Nantucket on a clear day.

A local tip is to exit the bike path on Surf Drive and ride along the waterfront for a mile or so. Sweeping view of the Vineyard Sound, Martha's Vineyard, and even Nantucket on a clear day.

Woods Hole Market is the only "general store" in the village. It's a bit expensive for everyday essentials, but the alternative is a drive into Falmouth. They also make great sandwiches and soup - and have a deck overlooking Eel Pond where you can sit and have lunch.

If you're driving and looking for rainy day activities, Mashpee Commons has a lot to offer. It has a movie theater, bowling alley, book stores, and shops; plus plenty of good restaurants to choose from.
