Fanad is a peninsula, from Ramelton,drive one way via Rathmulllen and Knockalla Coast Road where stunning views Of Lough Swilly as it flows into the Atlantic Ocean, can then take in a tour of the lighthouse and return via Mulroy Bay side which is also spectacular.

Explore the beautiful grounds and romantic castellated mansion at Glenveagh National Park and Castle.With its magnificent mountains, pristine lakes, waterfalls, glens, native oak woods, and a picturesque castle with all its original furnishings, it is one of the most magical places to visit in Donegal.
Rathmullan Beach is a beautiful long 3km sandy beach with stunning views accross the lough to the Inishowen Penisula. Beside the beach there is a sculpture to commemorate The Flight of the Earls from this area. Next to the beach, you will find a lovely children’s play park, a beachfront woodland walk, a putting green and a Napoleonic Gun Battery. The Swilly ferry connects the village with Buncrana on the far side of the Lough.
