Beautiful panoramic view of the town and amazing sunset. Their most popular sweet is “zoumero”, a chocolate cake with liquid hot chocolate all over it, which should be definitely tasted. The portions is big enough so one cake can be shared by 2 persons. Koukouvaya cafe is at Alexi Minoti 1 street, 2 km from my house.

If you want something fast, cheap and tasty giannis souvlaki is a very good choise. The place is at kounoupidiana, at Aristotelous 8 street, 1 km from my house.

Kalathas beach is a large sandy beach with organized services (sunbeds, umbrellas, water sports etc.) that has been awarded the Blue Flag. The beach is known for the island that is located 200m away from the coast and is easily accessible by the swimmers.

Loutraki beach is a waveless beach and is situated in a wonderful bay with crystal blue water and fine sand and is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds. It is very popular for local people – especially for young people – and for those that prefer an unusual beach.

The beach includes infrastructure for disabled persons.

Falassarna Beach has won prizes for being the most beautiful beach in Crete and is always one of the top ten beaches in Europe, with its wonderful, fine white sand and warm, crystal-clear water.

Paleochora's wider area has crystal clear waters, well organised beaches, and beautiful isolated small anchorages.
Paleochora is ideal for all sorts of holiday, especially those involving outdoor activities such as swimming, windsurfing, fishing, scuba diving and hiking.
A favorite destination for hippies in the 70s', today it is a perfect choice for peaceful holidays in a beautiful landscape with all the basic amenities provided.

It has nice view from above, it takes a 10 min walk in nature, it's not an organised beach so it keeps its original beauty, it's small and different than other beaches.

Tzagarolon Monastery is a Patriarchal - Stavropegiac monastery. It is now one of the most important monasteries in Crete, with huge influence on education in the island.
