If you are after good honest pub grub the The Poachers is an ideal place for you. Turning left out the top of our garden on the canal, walk approximately 500 metres around the bend and you're there! Rotisserie chicken is a must!

If you're in the area for cycling or coffee shops then MULE should certainly be on your list of places to visit. Take the best bits of your local bike shop and mix it with the best bits of your local coffee shop and you've got MULE. Ideal for those essential ride supplies and a pre-ride coffee. Also host regular shop rides for all abilities.

With a number of signed walking routes around the grounds, if you're not a National Trust member there is still plenty to see and do. Take a picnic, walk the routes, spot the wildlife or just sit back and enjoy the scenery with a nice coffee.

Located next to the River Dee the Llangollen railway is a great day out for families, be sure to check their website as activities vary, with the occasional visit from Thomas the Tank.

If you are after some stunning views then a trip up the famous horseshoe pass is a must! Panoramic views and the with the Ponderosa Cafe offering tea and cake its an ideal stop off when in the area.

We are a 5 minute journey from the RJAH hospital and have provided accommodation for relatives visiting patients as well as employees of the hospital, close enough for ease of travel, far enough away to relax!
