Here you will find our favorite restaurants in the area
One of absolute favorites! On the menu you can find dishes from Japan to Europe. There is something for everyone. The service is fantastic (all waiters speak English) and the prices are lower than in many other places in Kotor Bay. The view of Perast from the restaurant at sunset is unbeatable. It is possible to book a boat taxi to get there if you do not want to drive around the bay. Recommend booking a place in advance.

Tramontana quickly became one of our favorite places during our visits to Montenegro. Fantastic place by the sea. Easily accessible and good selection. Everyday restaurant with a little sense of luxury. Friendly staff, good food, good wine range and above all, good prices. There is a smaller playground at the restaurant in case you have small children with you. Definitely worth the visit.

Perast, the Loveliest Town on the Bay of Kotor. One of the most beautiful towns on the Adriatic coast, Perast is our favourite place on the Bay of Kotor. With 17 Baroque palaces, 19 churches but scarcely more than 250 residents, Perast is a tiny town packed with history and legend. The town straddles a narrow strip of coastline between St. Ilija hill and the Bay of Kotor, stretching 1.5km along the seafront. You can walk the length and breadth of town in a matter of minutes. Don’t miss to visit the twin islets of Sveti Đorđe (St George) and Gospa od Škrpjela (Church of Our Lady of the Rocks).

Sunday market, a must when you’re in Risan

Sunday market is a must when you’re in Risan. It’s more than just a market where you can buy and sell, it’s a gathering point where people meet, socialize, exchange news and knowledge (no one cares about the internet and social media - as if they do not exist). You can of course buy fresh fruit and vegetables, also locally produced honey, prosciutto, sausage’s, cheese and much more. And when you’re still in the village, buy fresh bread and pastries from the local bakery and then enjoy your breakfast at home on the balcony, whit the fantastic views in front of you that apartment offers.

Currency and payment method

The current currency in Montenegro is the Euro, even if the state is not a member of the EU or belongs to its financial banking system. Cash is king in the country and with it you can pay everywhere, but in most shops, petrol stations, restaurants you can pay with the most common bank and credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express ....). At ATMs, you can withdraw cash with relatively low exchange fees.
