If you're looking for a great, authentic Mexican food restaurant I recommend El Camino. It is locally owned and the food is incredible. A few of my favorites are the queso original, shredded beef tacos, shrimp cocktail, and green chile rellenos.

About an hour away from the mountains of Ruidoso, White Sands national park is a perfect site to see if you're interested in taking a little day trip. The white dunes are beautiful and entertaining!
