This is a great place to visit for adults AND kids. The tropical rainforest area is very relaxing. The outdoor trails link up to regional trails about prairie grasslands and a creek. It's a 5 minute drive from our apartment!

This is only about a 40 minute drive from the apartment-- it's Colorado at its best. The Fowler Gulch trail is perfect for people of all fitness levels. You can see rock climbers and the canyons and mountains.

Local regional park that has a great nature/visitor center to learn about local wildlife. Calm, lovely nature views with bald eagle nesting, a dog park, and trail around the lake. Nominal fee (about $5).
