Best BBQ in DFW, although they are only open Thursday through Saturday for lunch only. Long lines and when they run out, they're done for the day. So get there early.

Best Cajun food in DFW, my friend from Louisiana agrees.
It's a little far from the house, but make a day of it and go to Turning Point brewery that is right down the street from the restaurant as well.
