Food scene
Located in the centre of the Javea Bay, Playa del Arenal is the town's main tourist centre. It is the best known and most frequented beach. This is an urban beach with shallow waters and coarse sand. Playa del Arenal is ideal to go with children as it has many different entertainment areas such as a beach playground, beach volleyball and other watersports facilities. It also has loads of nice restaurants and bars right next to it.

Javea has a nice little port next to a seaside walking street with lots of small shops and restaurants. It is a very nice area to stroll around watch the sea have a nice drink and enjoy great food.

Javea old town with its small streets with nice restaurants and cafes is a gem. It is nice to visit the historical church, have a drink on the Placa de Baix et to have dinner in one of the many nice restaurants around. It is best to reserve earlier as they are often full. A covered parking is conveniently located nearby.

Cap de la Nau area is a fantastic place for a walk and for sightseeing. It has many beautiful small secluded bays to walk to (it requires to be fit) where you will find hidden beaches. With its pine trees, it also offers many nice small roads to cycle.

Only a 20 minute drive from Javea, Denia is a port city offering beautiful beaches, remarkable artistic heritage, interesting historical centre and an active marina. Come here for a short day trip and explore this coastal
town or take the ferry to Ibiza/Mallorca/Formentera for a longer trip.
The direct drive from Javea to Valencia is 115km (71.5mi), which is approximately a drive time of 1 hr 30 mins. With a charming old town next to futuristic buildings (Science & Culture Park), Valencia is a city of contrasts. A trip to Valencia is incomplete without trying its Paellas.

As it is a popular beach (listed as one of the top beaches in Spain), it is recommended to arrive early in the morning.
