Coolidge Park is adjacent to local entertainment, art galleries, shops, and restaurants and serves as a venue for numerous concerts, festivals and special events. It is also part of the Tennessee Riverwalk, a 13-mile long public greenway that runs along the Tennessee River – from the Southern Belle Riverboat to Chickamauga Dam. In 2006 The Peace Grove was added to Coolidge Park. It is a circular landscape of trees planted to represent each of Chattanooga’s Sister Cities and celebrate the city’s global friendships around the world.

Point Park's 16 acres provides overlooks, monuments, and cannon positions interpreting the Battle of Lookout Mountain as well as the other Battles for Chattanooga. Please note that there is an entrance fee for Point Park. It is $10/adult, ages 16 and older, kids 15 and younger may enter for free. If you have a National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, the passholder and three other adults may enter for free. Free parking is available at Point Park in the parking lot behind the Lookout Mountain Battlefield Visitor Center. This lot can fill up quickly on busy days and is not large enough to accommodate buses or RVs. In addition to the free parking lot, there is metered street parking available in the area around Point Park. Buses and RVs will need to utilize this metered street parking, or consider parking at the bottom of the mountain and riding the Incline Railroad.
