This cozy place has been around for over 30 years. It’s the perfect lunch spot or take your food to go picking from the deli counter with lots of gourmet choices. They also have a section of tables for casual diners of just eating what you have purchased at the counter. If you don’t get the chicken Okasan you haven’t tasted chicken yet! I used to get a bucket of it on my way home from work and devoured it in the car. Their Chinese chicken salad has won awards. Not open for dinner.

Super fun place, great pizzas and a divine burger. The staff is very friendly, you will notice the attentiveness right away. They are open all day. Brunch on Sundays including botton-less mimosas.

Go for lunch or dinner, super yummy seafood, bowls, sushi rolls and ceviches. The Wasabi bowl with salmon is delicious! The restaurant sits right in the town center where you can also find some great shopping.

Wonderful place for breakfast or lunch or dinner. Open 7:30 to 10:00 pm. Fun little bistro tables and outside seating in the heart of San Rafael. Food is really great! Savory crepes and more. The portions are easily shareable.

This restaurant has great outside seating in the back patio and the front with room for larger groups. Super fun atmosphere, filled with locals. Amazing food, smallish portions though. Everybody loves the fried chicken sandwich there. A great place to feel as part of Fairfax

This is where you can find all the bikers bringing their bikes after a long ride, hanging out with a beer and a sausage. Great atmosphere, long tables where you meet everybody. There are card games and board games going on while sitting around anytime of the day and well into the evenings.

This bar I was renovated in the last few years and it is now a beautiful jazz lounge. There is real Mixology happening at the bar, a local favorite to head before dinner or after. Music during the day on the weekends.
