A family run traditional restaurant just a short walk towards the sea from the apartment. Lamb is a speciality here. Very reasonable prices and excellent friendly service makes this a real welcoming experience suitable for all the family.

Pollenca (Pollensa) is a scenic old town in the North of Mallorca. It's an authentic honey stoned Mallorcan town which oozes charm. One of our favourite things to do is just to amble around the cobbled streets, stopping off at excellent cafes, restaurants and shops to while away the day.

Sightseeing

Golf Pollensa is top notch. Very well maintained. Super panoramas from the Clubhouse and from many other view points over the landscape, especially the mountains, around the course. Very friendly service and good restaurant! Check out the menu del dia on Saturdays! The Club has become very active lately and has been the object of a thorough improvement of the 9 hole course.

Cala San Vicente is just a short drive away, or a walk over the Tramuntana, and is blessed with crystal clear waters with two spectacular coves - Cala Molins and Cala Carbo. It's great for a spot of snorkelling when the sea is calm and a perfect getaway for a relaxing beach day.

The seclusion of Cala Bóquer is one of our little secrets. Leave the car and lace up those hiking boots, because the footpath to the coast leads partly through some rough terrain along stony paths and through dried streams. Steep rock faces and strange rock formations line the path. Wild macchia proliferates between the boulders and dwarf palms rise up along the way. You will meet wild goats on the mountain slopes, which roam the landscape in search of food. About an hour later, Cala Bóquer comes into view behind the last hill. There's a small pebble beach at the end of the valley, but no food or drink or a beach bed in sight. Take your own food and drink and marvel at the calmness of the 2 metre deep sea.

Playa de Alcúdia is the largest beach of all the Balearic islands thanks to its 7 kilometres of sand. Nowadays, it boasts a wide range of facilities from beach bars and restaurants to watersports, public toilets, showers, car parks, sunbeds, parasols and even WiFi connection. The beach can be divided into two sections. The first half, from Port d'Alcúdia to Ciudad Blanca, is where most of the facilities and services are located. Go and view the boats in the marina then walk along the beach all the way to Ciudad Blanca. Further up the Bay of Alcúdia, as you head towards Playa de Muro, it is easier to find quieter spots.

Alcudia is the best preserved medieval town in Majorca. It's world heritage site. The old town has a maze of narrow streets and is surrounded by impressive walls, some of which you can walk along. The historic centre has no cars, but outside the walls there is a large free car park which is just a short walk to the centre. Stop off for a light lunch. Market days are Tuesdays and Sundays.

Market Day is a Must

One of the things to do in Mallorca is to visit a market, and Puerto Pollensa is no exception for that, offering a market in Pollensa old town and a market in Puerto Pollensa. All the towns and villages in Mallorca have a weekly market, and some even twice a week. We thoroughly recommend that you visit one of these markets during your stay on the Island, for the following reasons: It is a great way to enjoy the local culture of the Island. It is a great way to support to the farmers and locals from the Pollensa surroundings. Port-Wednesday Morning, Old Town-Sunday Morning

Swimming and Beaches

Port de Pollensa is situated on one side of a breathtaking 3 mile wide bay. There are sandy beaches from one end to the other. Swimming is safe as there is little tide and the water is shallow in most places. It's overlooked by the Tramuntana mountains. You can rent sun loungers and parasols, and there are toilets and showers and lifeguards. There are free car parking facilities on the street behind the beach, and a host of shops and restaurants along the beach front. At the pine walk end of town the beach is narrow and more secluded, the other end is popular with kite surfers!

Cycling in Mallorca

Mallorca is well known as one of the best destinations in the world for road cycling. Its perfect road surfaces, variable terrain and warm year round weather has attracted many cyclists over the years. It's now a popular training destination for world class pro teams and the many businesses around town support this with everything from cycle hire and repairs to sports massages and clothing. Pollensa is the perfect starting point for the Formentor lighthouse challenge and for the fitter ones, even Sa Calobra!
