about a 25/30 min walk. This place is great, cheap and cheerful. Especially good in the summer as they have lovely outdoor seating. They have a strong mediterranean influence and their menu reflects this, with a very wide range of options to suit everyone

A personal favourite is The Grace, it’s only a 7 minute of so walk. The cosiest pub with the best staff. They offer a delicious menu of small plates. They have a fantastic pub garden for the summer time but inside is perfect for a wintery evening. I practically grew up with this place as my living room - tell them Martin Cox and his daughter sent you!

They have a fantastic pub garden for the summer time but inside is perfect for a wintery evening. I practically grew up with this place as my living room - tell them Martin Cox and his daughter sent you!
In my opinion this is the best burger place in Bristol. They make everything in house, including the bun. They aren’t cheap but if you get a classic bronx cheeseburger, bronx fries and mac and cheese you’re really onto a winner

Amazing curry place in Clifton village. This is more than your average curry house though. It’s Indian food meets fine dining and really is gorgeous; they also have a sister restaurant in Stokes Croft called Nadu which is more small plates focused but with Sri Lankan & Tamil influences.

The best seafood restaurant in Bristol. Think white tablecloths, oysters and great service. Great for a special occasion or just if you’re a seafood lover. They source their fish from the south west coast and their menu changes almost daily dependent on the catches of the day. It’s lovely.

if you want a treat go here; they do a set tasting menu for about £50 a head I believe? It’s a tiny place, with great service and great food. If you go here, pop to the Kingsdown Vaults for a drink before (lovely pub around the corner)

Tokyo Izakaya vibe place, they have sushi and other Japanese inspired dishes and it’s great. It’s located in Wapping Wharf which has loads of other great places around there. It’s great if you’re looking around the harbourside.

Root is a vegetarian tapas place. They use some meat but see the veggies as the focus of a dish rather than the meat. It’s in Wapping wharf, its a lovely setup. They change their menu regularly, it’s very seasonal.
