The Burke Gilman is a bike trail that goes all over different Seattle Neighborhoods. We like to take it halfway around the lake and back to our cabin in a loop - about 2.5 hrs. This route can be found here:

Full of charm - a really cute central square with shops and great restaurants and bars. The Ballard farmers market on Sundays from 9am - 2pm is great, you'll be sure to find something yummy to eat and lots of local flavor and happenings.
