A beautiful seafront town famous for its association with fossil hunter Mary Anning and as a film location. There are many shops, pubs restaurants, cafes and galleries. The old watermill is well worth a visit.

A Grade II* listed Scheduled Ancient Monunment, Landacre bridge crosses the River Barle upstream of Withypool. It dates from the late medieval period and has five arches of 9 feet each. It is a great spot for picnicking and walking.

An historic fortress with almost 1000 years of history, it was home to the Luttrell family for 600 years until they bequeathed it to the National Trust in 1976. There is also an ancient watermill (now tea room) and packhorse bridge in this beautiful town.
