The Mosque of Paris, 43 Rue Geoffroy-Saint-Hilaire, 75005 Paris
Built between 1922 and 1926, is located in the Latin Quarter, a stone's throw from the Museum of Natural History of Paris. The Hispano-Moorish style mosque is dominated by its 33-metre high minaret. Inspired by the Alhambra of Granada, the patio is surrounded by sculpted arcades. The prayer room is a must-see for its decoration and its magnificent carpets. The Mosque of Paris is also a place of relaxation with its hammam, its restaurant, its tea room and its shop with the appearance of a souk.

In the heart of the Latin Quarter, on the Sainte-Geneviève mountain, it is in the centre of the Place du Panthéon and surrounded by the town hall of the 5th arrondissement, the Henri-IV high school, the Saint-Etienne-du-Mont church, the Sainte-Geneviève library and the law faculty. The rue Soufflot gives it a perspective as far as the Luxembourg Gardens.

It was at the beginning of the 20th century that André Terrail bought it, with a brilliant idea: to raise the building by one floor to install the dining room, and thus enjoy a unique panorama, one of the most beautiful views of the Seine and Notre-Dame-de-Paris! As for the rest, the soul of the Tour d'Argent evolves with the times: a veritable palimpsest, the menu, reinterpreted by Yannick Franques, MOF 2004, preserves the memory of several decades of French haute cuisine. Thus the matured "Frédéric Delair" duckling, served as a whole, is highlighted in two courses. Purists can rest assured that the service, perfectly regulated, always ensures a good show. As for the extraordinary cellar, it is said to contain... nearly 300,000 bottles.
